SPECIAL REPORT: Cornwall Alliance Responds to Claims that Christians are Coronavirus Deniers

PJC Show 2020

Does the truth matter? Yes it does. In the midst of a worldwide pandemic, truth DEFINITELY matters. COVID-19 has shaped history like the Bubonic Plague did. We can only pray that COVID-19 doesn’t take 200 million lives like its distant predecessor. As countries enact policies and procedures to protect their people, the world waits for a vaccine, a cure, or something to negate this.  Health care facilities are packed. Health care workers are stressed, afraid, and doing their jobs to help others. Large scale gatherings are restricted.

You would think truth would be an important part of the discussion. However, on March 27th, the New York Times published an article entitled: The Religious Right’s Hostility to Science Is Crippling Our Coronavirus Response. In it, the author does a bang up job in presenting the ‘religious right’ read ‘Christians’ as ‘hostile’ to science. Cherry-picking a few people who choose to disobey the laws of the land, the author makes hasty generalizations, paints with a broad brush, and uses strawman arguments on which to stand. The fact of the matter is that it’s simply not true. The article targeted the Cornwall Alliance as well, misrepresenting their stance the coronavirus and a few other things.

When Dr. Beisner reached out to me about their response to this article, of course I said yes. Rise of the Skin-Hungry–The Parker J. Cole Show

parker-j-cole-banner

Hugs make the world go around. I’ll be the first to admit that. When a master storyteller recently shared a fascinating article about people who are “skin-hungry”. That means, those who lack the personal, intimate touch of another human being. It is not a sexual thing as much as an interpersonal connection. The article discussed how some criminals were affected psychologically by the lack of human touch when placed in solitary confinement.

We would go further and look back to Genesis 2:18 “And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”

However, as this article postulates, people are becoming less and less interconnected. Human touch, connectivity is an essential part of being human. We need each other.  As the article states in it’s introduction: “As we live in an increasingly technology-focussed, socially disconnected world, we’re touching each other much less than before. But what does an absence of touch do to a person?”

Is it solely due to our dependence on technology that has caused this trend? Is it more? Join me for our continuing series with RD Palmer and I. You can call in at 929-477-1965 and press 1 to be live on air. Or, click on the link here: http://tobtr.com/s/11419743

tammyI am a Christian, mom, hairstylist/colorist, runner, and have always had a passion for writing. When I was a child I created/made up the character Renee. Many years later, my daughter was in a writing class, and one of her books talked about writing all your thoughts down, etc… And so, RENEE came to fruition on my Coral Word. RENEE has come a long way since I first started writing it seven years ago. It wasn’t until a few months ago, as I was starting book 2, that it came to be a trilogy. I give a lot of thanks and gratitude to Thomas J. Harvey. He helped me through the first book and gave awesome advice.

**SPECIAL EDITION** Men in Love — The Parker J Cole Show

meninlove3Men in Love is a special show — it’s all about love, marriage, romance, and faith all from a male perspective. Dr. Mike Spaulding of Soaring Eagle Radio guest hosts this edition of the Parker J Cole show.

This week, we celebrated Valentine’s Day. A holiday usually steeped in romance, from chocolate hearts, red roses, intimate dinners, and togetherness. However, in celebrating this holiday, marriages are broken, divorce rates skyrockets, and professions of love are only skin deep. For some people, they mean absolutely nothing, empty words for empty hearts.

As an author, I have access to authors from all over. I wanted to hear words of love and what love means from a male perspective. There’s a lot of misandry out there so I wanted to talk to men who used words effectively to show what love meant to them. Several men answered the call and their thoughts are for you to enjoy. Yet, I didn’t want to just say words. We NEED a biblical context for love, romance, marriage, and faith.

So, I reached out to Dr. Mike Spaulding of Soaring Eagle Radio. I’ve been a follower of his show, his blog, and have had the honor of having him talk to us about Men in Love and what it truly means. His concise and poignant commentary is one that I hope will encourage and uplift you. Listen in at 929-477-1965. Or, click on the link here: http://tobtr.com/s/11202903.

Tonight on the Write Stuff — Bound by Seduction, Redeemed by Grace with Stacey Louiso

seductionWhat does it mean to be redeemed by grace? In her own words, Stacey Louiso tells her story of her remarkable journey:

Shame. Unbeknownst to me, shame played a huge part in my life. I carried it, internally, from childhood into adulthood. Accompanying shame were some dirty secrets that wreaked havoc on my life, leading me down many wrong paths, until one day I found myself fully broken. Some might perceive this as a bad thing-being broken-however, what transpired in the aftermath sent me down the right path… THE path to: Understanding, deep wisdom and most importantly, breaking free of the harlot spirit that controlled the very fiber of my being since birth. Jesus found me in troubled waters and forgave my transgressions. He healed my soul while breathing new life into this woman-once bound by seduction, now redeemed by Grace!
