I remember working on an elevator pitch for my VA some time ago. My mentor told me, ‘You have, at most, twenty seconds to grab the person’s attention’. She taught how to make the most of words within that timeframe. In a busy world like ours we barely have time to hear each other speak so when we approach someone to buy our books, invest in our business, or some other venture, we’ve only got a short amount of time to gain each other’s attention.
However, when God speaks, we MUST listen. Stop everything, hold the phone, and listen. Or do we?
After all, how can we now if God has spoken when we’re busy, or our lives are on hold or in turmoil? In those moments do our prayers reach higher than the ceiling or do they disintegrate into the air? How can we know God has really spoken? How do we listen with so much going on?
