I love fairy tales. As a kid I enjoyed reading them for hours on end. I have a collection of Grimm’s fairy tales I read off and on. Through all kinds of trials, setbacks, and hardships, the hero prince winds up with the princess. The evil witch or orge is destroyed. The parents are reunited with their stolen children. The curse is lifted. Happily ever after all the way around.
As a child I wanted the fairy tale ending. After all, they always end of a good note. However we all know that life rarely has a chance to give us happily ever after. In a society increasingly searching for the fairy tale ending, it’s coming up short. And the disappointments that come that often causes us to have a harsh outlook on life.
On this episode of the Write Stuff join me as I discuss with author Raven Price what happens when the fairy tale ends. You can call in at 646-595-2083, press 1 to be live on air. Or, you can download the WLUV radio mobile app today.
