S. DOUGLAS WOODWARD is an author, speaker, and researcher on the topics of alternate history, the apocalypse, and biblical eschatology, with over 40 years’ experience in researching, writing, and teaching on the subject. He has written eight books: Are We Living in the Last Days? (2009), Decoding Doomsday (2010), Black Sun Blood Moon(2011), Power Quest, Book One: America’s Obsession with the Paranormal(2011), Power Quest, Book Two: The Ascendancy of Antichrist in America (2012), Lying Wonders of the Red Planet: Exposing the Lie of Ancient Aliens (2014), Blood Moon: Biblical Signs of the Coming Apocalypse (2014), and co-authored The Final Babylon: America and the Coming of Antichrist (2013) with Douglas Krieger and Dene McGriff. These books have received critical acclaim. He also has contributed to three other books for Defender Books: Pandemonium’s Engine (2011), God’s Ghostbusters (2011), and Blood on the Altar (2014).
Doug has become a popular guest on radio and television programs focusing topics connected with 2012, Bible Prophecy, and America’s spiritual history.
Doug has over 35 years’ experience in the business world, serving as an executive for Microsoft, Oracle, Honeywell Bull, and as a Partner at Ernst & Young. He founded his own consulting company focusing on start-ups, called Smart Starters, where he has worked with over four dozen companies during the past 12 years in the Pacific Northwest. In the business world, Doug has been a frequent speaker on technology and business topics, and has published a number of articles on timely topics.
Doug grew up in Oklahoma City where he was the youngest of four sons. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1976, Cum Laude, with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Letters. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Campus Crusade for Christ, and Young Life. Doug has served as associate minister in the Methodist and Reformed Churches. More recently, he has served on several church boards and as an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and Reformed Church of America. Doug has been married to wife Donna for 39 years, and has two independent and very successful married children. Just recently, he has become a grandfather and is particularly excited about this new role!
