The topic we discussed on this show wasn’t an easy one. Forgiveness is a subject that plagues the Christian and secular thinker. It’s not limited to just one type of person.

Dana Pratola gave us some insights into this topic. When I asked the question of why do people find it so hard to forgive, Dana made the statement that pride has something to do with it. “How dare you offend me?” I hadn’t thought of this aspect of not forgiving but when I thought about it later, I knew she had a point.

Another thing we discussed on this show, “I can forgive but not forget.” Dana let us know that God is quite aware of what we are capable of. She said we may never forget the injury that was done to use but we are mandated by God to forgive because He forgives us.

I highlighted two stories of people who were affected by a perpetrator — one woman’s only son was killed and the other victim was a pastor who was stabbed twenty times. In both of these incidences, the woman and the pastor forgave the people who hurt them.

We had a fascinating discussion. If you want to hear it, feel free to go to blogtalkradio.com/wluvradio or download the WLUV Radio app to listen in.
